One month. That’s the last time I”be written something here. I’ve said this quite a few times and it’s definitely becoming a problem, but I’ve been MIA for a bit. Generally just busy with life and even though I do have free time, I like to spend that free time doing absolutely nothing. NOTHING. It’s not even like it takes me an uber long time to write a post, but here I am a month since my last post. I think that’s the longest I’ve gone. With that being said, I was inspired to write this post, and why doing what makes you happy is so important.

Without saying much I think you can guess that it’ll make you happy. There’s truth to that, or else I wouldn’t be saying it. If I were to put it simply, I think doing what we love or what makes us happy, is the main key to being happy. Think about it. When you’re happy, what caused it? Usually it’s because you did something to make you happy, with a few exceptions that are a bit less clear like if someone brings you a gift.

But doing what makes you happy can also make others happy. I said it in my last post, being around people who are happy or kind generally makes you happy as well. And usually, when it’s something optional like going for a walk at the park, people have the same idea as you and are happy that they’re there. I’ve found by “pursuing” my interests I’ve met a lot of people like me and made friends doing it, like going to the gym. Or, by finding something you and someone else like to do, you can enjoy that thing together, which for whatever reason makes it even more enjoyable.

I really need to express though that it’s important to find go to’s that make you happy. Sometimes putting out a blog post isn’t what’s going to make me happy at the moment. But, writing this one is making me happy because I like sharing this stuff and I really, really like talking, so I feel like i’m getting some words out of my brain. I also haven’t written in a while because I haven’t really found the time or been the happiest. That’s why you need to make time. I’ve found myself really overwhelmed, and straying away from those happy things. So find a go to, and talk to people, it can help you out. It can be hard to do so, but finding those enjoyable activities can be relaxing and a good stress reliever.

The pic above is a bit random, but the toothpicks in my lemon to keep it fresh make me happy. So remember this week to find things that truly make you happy. And while life has been good to me lately, I’ve also had a rough few days. That sadness can drag and drag without things to make you happy. If you’re able to, find things that make you happy, and well, do them!
