For those of you who aren’t Canadian, this weekend we celebrate Canadian thanksgiving. I figured I would spread some positivity and share some of the things I’m thankful for, and remind you of all the little things there are to be grateful for that we tend to take for granted.

One thing that I never really took into account until this past year is he beautiful landscape we have in Canada. All year round the different seasons highlight different aspects of the nature we have and creates beauty that we forget is not found everywhere. While a change of scenery is nice every once in a while, don’t forget to appreciate the land that surrounds you, no matter where in the world you live.

I will never ever get tired of sunsets on the lake

I’m also thankful for the spread of food that I filled my belly with this weekend. My diet consisted of turkey, potatoes, stuffing, gravy, the occasional fruit or vegetable, and lots of baking.

Pumpkin pie that a small group couldn’t leave for morning, the last two pieces were gone about five minutes after this picture.

There are many things that appear in my day to day life that I forget to be thankful for most of the time. I’m thankful for my friends, family, and other people in my life who are close and important to me. I’m also thankful that I have a phone that I can communicate with said people on. I’m glad I can receive and education and fill my brain with different things, even if I think I don’t want to learn them. I always have a roof over my head and food in my house, which is more than lots of people can say, yet I don’t even think about it. Today and every day remember to be thankful for every little thing you have (and big of course). We often take things for granted without considering just how useful they are. This week try to take some time to appreciate all of the little things that you use in your day to day life. Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a great week!
