Hi everyone, it’s been a little over a week since my last post but here I am. Today I’m going to write about something current that I’m hoping you taking part in or considering taking part in! I’m going to take you on a bit of a walk through of what getting my vaccine was like for me, and then explaining why getting it if you can is a good idea!

I made an appointment through a pharmacy that a family friend works at, but I also had the option to book it at our main vaccine site where I live, that’s currently available to all eligible people in my city. Me and my brother booked our appointments within five minutes of each other, so that we were able to get in at the same time. Once we got there, it was quite simple. The lady at the desk scanned my health card, asked me some questions, and sent me over to a small office sized room to get my vaccine! I talked to the person giving me my vaccine, she sanitized my arm, and then boom. I felt a little pinch and some pressure and then I was done! Half way to being fully vaccinated and one step closer in preventing the spread of COVID-19. After I got my band aid I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes and then I was free to leave.

All done!

I of course also made my brother take a picture with me once we were back in the car, to show off our band aids.

And of course we treated ourselves to some smoothies at McDonald’s after this!

Getting my vaccine gave me some peace of mind knowing that I’m helping to slow the spread and bringing Canada one step closer to normalcy. If you’re still a bit on the fence towards getting your vaccine, I would strongly recommend reading some articles and consider getting it. However, if you just don’t feel comfortable with it yet, that’s totally cool too. Just remember to continue doing your part by wearing your mask, washing your hands, and social distancing! That’s all from me today!
