Hey everyone. I’ve had a super busy, non-busy week. I don’t know a better way to explain that. I haven’t found the time to write about anything, but yet I feel like I haven’t done a whole lot. Maybe I’ll think about that sometime. Nevertheless, I am thinking about something today. Something everyone needs to remember as the weather gets warmer and we’re spending more time outside. Wear your sunscreen! Let’s think about why.

This doesn’t take a whole lot of thinking, it’s really quite simple. Sunscreen protects our skin, it is essentially a screen, from the sun! Remember the name everyone. It prevents you from burning, and while you may not get your “perfect” tan while wearing it, I think the pros it gives are a better trade off.
Where I live, when the weather hits 20°C, you’re going to be spending time outside. Lots of people are done with looking ghostly from the winter months, and it’s time to get some colour. And while the colour is nice, you don’t want to over do it. Your skin will thank you in the long run. A lack of sunscreen and frequent application of it is going to result in sunburn, or more complex and different types of skin cancer.
So what do I do? Simple explanation. Wear sunscreen! Really anything works. If you’re spending lots of time outside, just make sure that you reapply it every two hours at the most. if you’re swimming, most water resistant sunscreens last around 80 minutes. That being said, reapply after 80 minutes! Use whatever sunscreen makes you happy. The higher the SPF, the better the protection. I use any generic sunscreen for every where but my face. I use any trusted moisturizer I have that has a decent SPF level, or sunscreen made specifically for my face.

I hope after thinking about this, You’ll continue to think about it and wear sunscreen when you go out! Yes you what that tan, and there’s probably no way you’re going to fully listen to me, but at least take the time to put some on your face, and don’t go too long in the sun without anything at all! Thanks for reading!
