We look at our pets habits and have opinions on them, but what do they think of ours? Ever wonder what your dog might think of you when you’re sitting on the couch watching TikTok’s instead of taking them for a walk? Or do they even realize? I have so much to think about here so let’s jump right in. Now just a reminder, I am no expert and this is all based on my own thoughts and what I see in my own pets. Let’s go!
I personally find myself talking to my animals in the strangest voices or coming up with odd names on the spot and I’ll often get the most judgy stares from my pets, especially Kitten. When I see this, the though that typically goes through my head is “Are you really judging me? What did I do?” Okay so to elaborate on that further, in what way is she judging me. I feel like she might be thinking to herself “You do realize I’m not a baby right?” Or maybe she’s thinking “How can this creature that towers over me make sounds like that?” It really is a thought process.

I also frequently receive death stares when I walk into a room singing a song by JB or Taylor Swift. Izzy probably thinks I shouldn’t have gone for a size up at Starbucks, as the overload of caffeine isn’t helping with her sleeping habits.

I know there’s one animal in the house that almost always enjoys my presence, Berry. He loves our afternoon walks and being snuck treats that don’t exactly help with his diet (he doesn’t mind). Anytime I call his name or I just hype him up, he gets overly excited and it makes me so happy. I’ve come to the conclusion that dogs are just more appreciative of us, or at least show it more clearly. After all, they do rely on us to feed them, and well, keep them alive.

But what do they think about when we aren’t home? Do they miss us? Definitely not the cats. I think that my cats use their time during the day to plan out how they’re going to get into mischief and make a mess. With me doing online school right now I feel they’re probably annoyed that I’ve foiled their chances at destruction.
Despite that, when I am home, my cats always find way to show their love and appreciation by getting right in your face and making it impossible to move.

To conclude, I think it’s pretty much impossible to really understand what’s going on in your pets head all the time unless you’ve put countless hours into studying it. It’s easy to tell when they are happy or scared, but what they think about when I’m not home? I could not tell you. The chances that they think in a completely different language is also very likely. But one thing I do know for sure, my pets love to be around their humans. This topic was fun to think about and I think everyone could find a way to dig deep on it! If you want to think about more things and see what I have to say about them, give me your email so you can be notified about new posts! Bye!
