If you aren’t already aware of what the COVID situation is in Ontario, let’s just say there are some unreal expectations of us. Go Google that if you really wanna get the full understanding of life up here. So with intense COVID restrictions, what am I supposed to do (legally) with a week off for spring break? Go for a bike ride with friends outside? No. Not allowed to see people that you don’t live with, even outside. Go shopping for new clothes? No. Try again in a few months. Use public outdoor workout equipment? No No No. So what did I do with a week off of school? I’m going to tell you.

How did I keep myself busy? Well the first two days went pretty well. I got about 95% of my final science project finished, and about 10% of my final project done for my other class. However, after those two days, the school productivity went to the ground. Non-existent. I did sleep until noon one day though, which I was pretty surprised by. I definitely would’ve slept longer too, but I was waken up by a phone call.
I spent two of my days babysitting for a total of about eight hours, and that was more than enough time for Eden. I enjoyed it, but something about it was just a “Yeah I woulda maxed out in about another hour”.

I made some food, which always makes me happy. But I didn’t get Uber Eats even once, which is kinda disappointing. I did of course still manage to get in a few Starbucks runs.

So basically for the week, I binged a lot of Netflix and took a lot of walks with my dog. I thought about doing school work and maybe studying, but it was just a thought.
I’ve spent the last couple of days at the lake doing various tasks around the camp to get ready for the incoming warm weather. I put my skills to good use and assembled a couple different things for our camp. My new name might as well be Bob the Builder.

I went out a few times in the evening and once during the day with my boyfriend, but other than that my contact with humans born in the same decade as me was through a screen. I did go to the grocery store once though and saw a person I knew! That’s something, right?
And of course, this wouldn’t be a post from Eden without some mention of my cats. I gave them lots of love and in return, I got lots back. Izzy did not learn what personal space means, and still finds it necessary to be right beside me during the times I did not want to be bothered.

With new restrictions, I’m finding myself learning remotely for the next month at least. I’ll keep you updated on how that goes, and what I’m going to do to keep myself busy with all this extra time at home. That’s all for now, I’m going to find some interesting topics to do some deep thinking on this week! Make sure you don’t miss them, and subscribe to my email list at the bottom of my homepage. Bye!
